National Board of Directors of Solihten Institute Announces Appointment of Dan Stephens as New President/CEO

The National Board of Directors of Solihten Institute is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Stephens as the organization’s new President/CEO after a nationwide search. Stephens brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and a visionary approach to integrated healing, making him the ideal leader to guide Solihten Institute into its next chapter of growth and impact.

Stephens’ impressive educational credentials include a Master of Counseling from University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Georgia. He also completed the Allstate Foundation’s Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Stephens’ professional journey is marked by a deep appreciation for counseling, which he describes as personally transformative. He has experienced firsthand the positive impact counseling can have on individuals and communities, shaping his belief in its power to foster well-being and resilience.
In addition to his counseling background, Stephens has a strong track record of leadership in the nonprofit sector. He has led initiatives focused on education and health equity, including mental health initiatives, demonstrating his commitment to the issues important to Solihten. Most recently, Stephens served as Executive Director of the Rotary Club of Birmingham and the RCB Foundation. The Rotary Club of Birmingham is the largest in the United States and second largest in the world.
Stephens’ appointment as President/CEO of Solihten Institute heralds a new era of growth and innovation as the Institute continues to make a profound impact on the field of integrated healing. In his role as President/CEO, Stephens will be responsible for providing strategic direction, fostering partnerships, and championing the mission. His vision for the organization includes expanding its reach, enhancing membership offerings, and empowering affiliated Centers and professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the diverse needs of individuals and communities. Stephens starts in his new role on June 17, 2024.
With Dan Stephens at the helm, Solihten Institute is poised to embark on a new chapter of growth, innovation, and impact in the field of integrated healing.
